Craft Classes

We have a permanent craft studio at Avery Homestore in Edinburgh, where you can learn new skills in a friendly, relaxed environment. 

Jo Avery will be sharing her 20 years of crafting experience and ideas from her popular craft blog Bearpaw to show you how to make all kinds of handmade goodies and learn new skills. 

Jo and her team will be running evening classes and weekend workshops in a variety of craft activities; read about the team here.

There will be 2-3 full day workshops every week, on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays. Running from 10.30am to 4pm, each workshop will end with a glass of wine and a piece of homemade cake, for you to enjoy whilst admiring your finished handiwork!

In addition we will also be offering a block of 5 evening classes as an introduction to patchwork and quilting. These will run on a Thursday evening from 7-9pm.

With an emphasis on fun and creativity, the aim of our workshops will be sharing skills and inspiring students to get involved in a wide range of crafts, from crochet to patchwork, bag making to pyjama cases. These days are about treating yourself while you learn!
